CITY OF POMONA

        CITY HALL RE-OPENING PROTOCOLS

 

On Monday, June 22, 2020, Pomona City Hall re-opened for in-person visits, Monday through Thursday, between 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Various COVID-19 protocols and safety measures are now in place to protect the health and safety of the public while visiting City Hall. All patrons are required to please wear a facemask when in contact with our staff and while conducting business inside City Hall.

What to expect when visitng City Hall: 

  1. Meet our Greeting staff outside of City Hall’s main entrance. They will:
    a. Verify you have a facemask or provide a facemask (free of charge); 
    b. Administer our COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire;
    c. Check your forehead temperature using a touchless thermometer; and
    d. Advise when you can enter City Hall in order to maintain physical distancing
  2. Maintain at least a 6-foot distance from all other City Hall patrons.
    a. Physical distancing of at least 6-feet can be maintained by standing on the floor markers along the counters at City Hall.
    b. Individuals are only permitted to move up to the next spot when that spot has been vacated by the prior patron.
  3. Conduct all business through the plexiglass shields at our counters. Failure to abide by this rule will be grounds for asking the patron to leave the building. Safety is our first priority!   IMG 2904

Exiting City Hall: Once all respective business at City Hall is competed, patrons are to please exit the building via the designated exit door.

Special Notes:
Although walk ins are only offered from 8:30-11 a.m. and 2:30-5 p.m., City staff continues to work their normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and perform their normal job duties. To assist with physical distancing of all our patrons, City Hall has one designated public entrance and one designated exit door to the building. In the event that a patron refuses to wear a facemask—either their own or City supplied—they will be denied access to the building. There shall be no loitering inside City Hall.

COVID-19 Verbal Screening Questions 

The safety of the public and our employees is our highest priority. We are asking the following questions to meet CDC guidelines and best practices to keep everyone safe.

When asked, please respond to each of the following questions truthfully and to the best of your ability.

Are you currently experiencing, or have you experienced in the past 14 days, any of the following? Yes or No

  1. Fever (100.4 F/37.8 or greater)
  2. Cough
  3. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  4. Sore throat
  5. New loss of taste or smell
  6. Chills
  7. Head or muscle aches
  8. Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting

In the past 14 days, have you been in close proximity to anyone who was experiencing any of the above symptoms or has experienced any of the above symptoms since your contact? Yes or No

In the past 14 days, have you been in close proximity to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19? Yes or No

Have you been tested for COVID-19 and are waiting to receive test results? Yes or No

Have you tested positive for COVID-19, or are you presumptively positive for COVID-19 based on your health care provider's assessment of your symptoms? Yes or No

NOTE: If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been presumptively positive for COVID-19 based on your health cared provider's assessment or your symptoms, please return when: (1) you have had no fever for at least 72 hours (3 full days), without the use of fever reducing medication; (2) your other symptoms have improved; and at least 7 days have elapsed since your symptoms first appeared.

In the past 14 days, have you been on a commercial flight or traveled outside of the United States? Yes or No

In the past 14 days, have you been in close proximity to anyone who has been on a commercial flight or traveled outside of the United States? Yes or No

The Information is only used to determined entrance into City facilities.  If a person answers yes to any of the above questions, and don't meet the criteria specified in question #5, then do not let them into the City facility and provide a phone or e-mail contact to get their question answered.
