Business Service

• It is the function of Business Services Division to provide customer service for utility billing, as well as provide administrative support for the Department, including aiding with special projects, ensuring grant requirements are met, providing budget development and support along with monitoring all department agreements.

• Involves providing customer service with utility billing, by responding to inquiries, reading water meters, and billing approximately 30,000 utility accounts with bi-monthly statements that include water, sewer, refuse charges, general sanitation fees and the utility user’s tax.

Customer Service Field Operations

• The function of the Customer Service Field Operations is to read and service water meters for approximately 30,000 accounts, to notify customers of delinquencies, and to respond in person to individual customer inquiries, by organizing, scheduling and staffing operations so that meter readings and customer service calls are performed in a timely and courteous manner.
