On September 19th, a presentation was given to the Pomona Active Transportation Plan Stakeholder Committee at the City of Pomona Council Chambers.

Thank you to all those who attended the second Pomona BMP/ATP public meeting. There were over 30 attendees.

 

For people who were unable to attend the meeting, we are posting the graphics here and welcome additional input from those who could not attend (or attended but forgot to mention something).

 

While all input is welcome, last night’s meeting focused on the following three topics:

  • Preliminary conceptual bikeway recommendations
  • Potential programs and policies to promote active transportation
  • Locations for bicycle parking

Pomona stakeholders, residents, employees, business owners, and others are invited to participate in a meeting: July 18, 2012 (6PM – 8PM).

 

Specific information sought at the July 18th meeting will focus on preliminary bikeway recommendations and potential policies and programs.

 

The meeting will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2012, from 6PM – 8PM at the Emerson Middle School (635 Lincoln Avenue, Pomona, CA 91767), on the east side of Towne Avenue north of Lincoln Avenue.

Information regarding the time, location, and details of public meetings will be posted here, when available. Following meetings, meeting minutes and materials will also be posted to this website.

 

Attention Pomona Stakeholders: The first public meeting for the Pomona BMP/ATP will be held on April 26th, 2012, from 6PM – 8PM at the Ganesha Park Community Center. This meeting will focus on soliciting input from stakeholders on the following items:

 

  • Where do you bicycle?
  • Where are your current constraints/concerns related to bicycling?
  • Where are the barriers for bicycling?
  • What ideas do you have for enhancements?
  • What classification of bikeway do you prefer (Class I, II, or III)?
  • What types of bicycle parking do you prefer?
  • We look forward to hearing from the local community on the bicycle plan and questions above.
